Gas Works Park
I went to Gas Works Park on the shores of Lake Union on a cool November day armed with my camera and longboard and tried to capture some of the things that make this park unique. It's not a huge park, but it does feature some cool elements which are showcased in my video. The hill is a great place to check out the city skyline and the passing boats. The old gas equipment is very interesting but is all quarantined off behind a chain-link fence. On this cool winter day the park was almost completely empty and had a very calm feeling. The parking lot was mostly empty, which is in stark contrast to the swarm of people you'll find here during the summer. Unfortunately, even during the summer you can't swim at this park. In general, Lake Union isn't as swimmer friendly as Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish.
This video was shot with a Canon T3I, 18-135mm EF-S lens at 18mm, and a Glidecam HD1000.
